Russian tea and coffee producer MAY and MIREA will jointly train personnel for the food industry

A key area of cooperation will be the training and education of future professionals in the food industry, for which a large-scale program of practical training and internships will be developed at one of the most modern production facilities in Russia, "Maycomplex," owned by MAY in the Moscow region city of Fryazino. According to the parties' plan, the first students should begin their internships at the enterprise in the fall of 2024. In addition, the parties will jointly adapt educational programs to the existing needs of employers.

"For MAY, the development of human potential is an important component of the sustainable development strategy. The signed agreement will further enhance the competence level of graduates, prepare specialists at the university who meet all modern requirements, and help them with further employment. It is important that this will be work for the benefit of the entire industry and will contribute to the successful development of the country's economy," noted MAY's Director of Sustainable Development and Corporate Communications, Nikolay Markin.

Another important area of interaction will be the testing of innovative developments by MIREA students and graduate students in real production with implementation in the production process. This will allow for prompt adjustment of prototypes to market needs, creating in-demand products. One of the first inventions to be test-integrated into the production lines of "Maycomplex" will be a robotic arm developed by students of the MIREA branch in Fryazino.

"One of the key areas of development for RTU MIREA is cooperation with partner enterprises and joint training of personnel with them. Today, new technologies are being introduced so quickly that it is simply impossible to train highly qualified specialists, as well as conduct scientific and technological developments in isolation from the requirements of employers. Our cooperation with the company "MAY" opens up new prospects for our students and the entire university as a whole. I am confident that our graduates will be in demand in the modern labor market and will easily find highly paid work," noted the Rector of RTU MIREA, Stanislav Kudzh.

The cooperation of the parties will also be aimed at exchanging information, conducting joint projects, organizing seminars and conferences. The parties will also work on the development and implementation of new educational programs and research projects.
