The company's medicines are sold in Russia, and also exported to the countries of Central, Central and South-East Asia, Transcaucasia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Global and Russian pharmacopoeia standards impose high requirements on the operating conditions of equipment, the organization of processes and technological environments, for example, ventilation and air conditioning systems, water treatment, compressed air, etc.
«Water for biotechnological purposes must be purified and protected from re-contamination, reproduction and spread of microorganisms, must not contain antimicrobial preservatives and other additives», − emphasizes Stanislav Yudin, technical specialist of the ACS of Agrovet.
In 2023, the company implemented a project to automate the reverse osmosis system, which manages the preparation of water for cleaning premises and washing tanks.
Stanislav Yudin notes that up to 6000 liters of injection quality water per month are required for production processes. Periodically, the company stops production for technological reasons. Previously, in these cases, the technical services of "Agrovet" preserved the cleaning membranes in reverse osmosis plants, and then started rinsing the membranes manually. To do this, they redirected the water flow to the sewer, took conductivity measurements until the operating parameters were reached, and redirected the water to the tanks.
As a result of the modernization of the reverse osmosis system, it became possible to set up periodic membrane flushing and system maintenance in automatic mode. Osmotic water then goes directly to the object where it is needed, or to the distillation system.
Before use, the company must check the quality of purification and water characteristics according to the protocol "Monitoring of water for injection", developed within the framework of the rules of good manufacturing practice of the Eurasian Economic Union, and the Russian pharmacopoeia standard FS.2.2.0019.18. During the tests, Agrovet technologists evaluate the physicochemical and microbiological parameters of water. The first group includes parameters of electrical conductivity, pH, dry residue, reducing substances, carbon dioxide, nitrates and nitrites, ammonia, chlorides, sulfates, calcium and heavy metals. Microbiological testing includes assessing the purity and presence of bacterial endotoxins. OWEN equipment
During the modernization of the reverse osmosis unit, in addition to the "KosMaster" controller, additional OWEN equipment was installed. Stanislav Yudin notes that the ITP-16 universal analog signal meter and a number of sensors are used to indicate the temperature of purified water and maintain the temperature of the heat carrier (PMS-10) in the jacket of the tank with purified water. These include PD100I-DIV pressure transducers (0.5-171-0.5), DTS214-100P temperature sensors, PDU-3N.2.1300.300.CL65 level sensor with Clamp connection, which is connected to "KosMaster", PDU-2N.200.CL40 emergency level sensor with Clamp connection and BP07B-D3.2 two-channel power supply.
Currently, the company plans to expand production and is developing a workshop project in which a full-cycle line will be installed, operating without human intervention. To implement this project, it is also necessary to create a water and air treatment system in accordance with Russian and international pharmacopoeia standards. «OWEN has proven itself as a manufacturer of competitive automation and instrumentation. We always receive the necessary technical support on all issues. Therefore, we plan to implement distributed computing and process control systems for the new production line based on OWEN equipment», - adds Stanislav Yudin.
