The event was opened by Samat Yurgin, CEO of KIT. KIT is an abbreviation, it stands for "Communication of Information Technology."

Our team includes specialists who have been developing telecom equipment for more than 10 years. We already have more than 60 different developed device models. They are present on the market in the amount of more than 100 thousand devices.

We don't just want to provide another solution to the market, we want to make the world a better place. And we want our philosophy to be shared not only by partners and customers, but by the entire IT market.

Why us? Because we want the equipment to be of high quality, to be fully developed by Russian developers. We have strived for this and have already achieved it. The proof of this is the line that is included in the TORP register. In the future, it will be transferred to the 719 register. We can already start selling with peace of mind.

Then Stanislav Miroshnichenko, Head of Telecommunications Solutions Department, took the floor.

Why did we choose the name KIT? Because it is a strong animal, reliable, constantly moving towards its goal, does not pay attention to trifles, does not get annoyed, does not panic in case of potential danger. We feel about the same way. The company started its business in difficult times, we have a lot of experience, we know what and how to do, so we want to become a reliable support for partners in running their business. We really hope that we can implement all this.

How do we work?

On the one hand, we are not reinventing the wheel, since we have a lot of experience working in different companies, both large and small, both Russian and foreign, so we take the best practices, adapt them to the Russian market and to our vision. The company is based on its own development. KIT itself formed a legal entity, a Moscow office, only last year, but our development department has been on the market for more than 10 years, and has developed many devices during this time. All our developments are purely Russian, although our competitors felt what we were doing and how well we were doing it, and information began to come to us that they were trying to discredit us in every possible way. We have our own development, a large team. The development itself is located in Ufa. We have contract manufacturing. There are enough factories in Russia that can produce electronics. Many of them are underutilized and are happy to help companies like us to implement our ideas and produce equipment with the required quality and on time. Therefore, there is no point in making our own production. We will not be able to compete with them in quality, so we prefer to take the best from the market. We, as a real vendor, provide warranty and service for our equipment, since we develop it ourselves, we know where, what and how can go wrong, and how to fix it. Training courses are currently being developed for the channel, for the market, for customers, for partners. Since we are looking to the future, the courses are being developed on the basis of the standards of the Ministry of Education, and these courses should in one way or another be adopted in educational institutions and become part of the curriculum for relevant specialists. And, as you know, mandatory requirements for the development of such courses will be introduced for companies from September.

We work according to the standard scheme without direct sales, through a distributor to a partner and to a customer. We sign up for this and promise that there will be no direct sales.

How does the partnership policy work now at this stage of our company's development?

Since only one equipment line is ready for sale right now, it consists of five models, it is obvious that we have no reason to develop a very extensive partnership policy. We work with any partners, it only needs to be an authorized partner, since we need to understand who we are working with. Becoming a partner is easy, you need to write a corresponding email request, sign a couple of documents and that's it, we can work. Since Enterprise equipment with absolutely normal functionality for corporate networks, we are talking about project sales, so we are talking about deal registration. We need to raise who we are selling to, what we are selling, how to support it, what SLAs to maintain, what we are signing up for and take into account the risks. Naturally, prices are always negotiable for registered deals. And we all know perfectly well how the market works. It's always a question of dialogue. We have an option for joint marketing, we participate in it. Budgets in one form or another or volume are allocated. So, if you have a desire to hold an event, we are ready to support it.

In addition to training courses, we will have certification courses. As I said, they are in the process of development. Since again, as a result of the great expertise of the entire team, I want to share it with the market, so we will organize events on various technologies, linking to our equipment, how to use it, plus different cases, how to configure, discuss something.

Additionally, for self-service purposes, so that you can quickly find information on your own, a personal account project is being developed on the website. I won't tell you all the details, but it will be interesting. Other information will be published in your personal account, including the price list. Now it raises a lot of questions, whether it is closed or open. It is not closed, but we do not hang it on every corner. Therefore, you can get it upon request. Or in your personal account after we establish a partnership.

Regarding the service. We have a warranty, we have an additional paid SLA service with three lines of technical support.

Sales have started, the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been received. By and large, we are now only waiting to receive the number itself and the entry in the information systems, public records, so that you can go to the register and see all this. Naturally, we are ready to help partners in conducting our expertise. I always have a question, show me at least one vendor who says that no, we are not ready to tell you how our product works and how to operate it. Therefore, we are ready, there are people, contact us, write, consult, we will tell you, suggest, if necessary, redirect you to technical support, involve them.

Regarding the SLA service.

So far, there are only two programs, standard 8x5xNBD and 24x7xNCD, here the abbreviation NCD is a little non-standard, it is Next Calendar Day, that is, not a business day, but we undertake that we will send the equipment as quickly as possible when the service is purchased. As part of these two programs, a service engineer will be available. All the details of the service program under warranty will be published on the website. We have a test page ready. You need to make it "on". But for now, at this stage, the departure of a service engineer will be paid separately, because it is not clear where to go and how. Service and warehouses are now provided from two locations, from Ufa and from Moscow. Therefore, we will choose the nearest point to provide ZIP. Our plans are to develop a network of service centers either on the basis of partners or on the basis of simply authorized service centers.

What do we have right now? As I said, right now there is one line. These are corporate network switches, LAN office networks, S2158 series. Five models. In October-November, we should have the L3200 series. These are 10-gigabit core switches, up to one hundred gigabits. In the second quarter of 2025, we will have a more interesting series of L3100 switches.

The S2158 series are full-fledged L3 switches with redundant power supplies, with full routing. We also plan to develop a series of switches for data centers. It is clear that the requirements for these switches are significantly different both in terms of functionality and hardware. Therefore, all this will be in 2026 and beyond. There will be three series. We are focusing on the classic Leavespine factory, so ports from 10 to 25 gigabits and up to 400 gigabits will be present there. Simple L2 switches should also appear by the end of this year. When you need cheap, fast, but serious. Additionally, just for customers, for partners who are just supplying ready-made equipment and its implementation, integration work is less interesting, but nevertheless network adapters for network appliances and for servers. Right now there is the SMNIC2810 series in the form factor, liners, and there is already one card in the UCP 3.0 format with normal overall dimensions that allow it to be installed in a standard slot.

For routers - there is a hardware platform, already designed, we do not have enough software for this, so there are other companies on the market that make good software. For this, we plan to create a technological partnership with these companies and release a normal product: excellent hardware on our side, and excellent software on the other side.

We also plan a solution for wireless networks, Wi-Fi 6, we are not looking further yet. Three access points at the start, indoor, with a virtual controller. And in the future, we plan to import it to the hardware platform. Naturally, when there is a lot of equipment, or it is a large installation, a management system is still required in one form or another. Therefore, we are also working on a management system. The basic first wave of software is planned to support telemetry and configuration management, i.e. a fairly simple set. But, when you need everything to work from one window, this will be enough. And the next steps are already more heavy automation for the implementation and deployment of solutions.

A little bit in a different form, about the same thing, for a clear perception, by dates.

A little more detail about the switches that are currently available and that are planned. Right now, the S2158 is already available, hundreds of pieces are in stock. The approaches in this case are standard, 24/48 ports, PoE and non-PoE, and one of the distinguishing features is 10/25 Gbit uplinks 1.10.25. Those models that support PoE support full PoE + on all ports, a full budget without restrictions, full third-party functionality with MLAG support, routing. Additionally, the software implements the TCP-dump functionality, capturing and analyzing transit traffic through the switch.

The L3200 series is planned to be released in the form of two core models, these are ten ports for downlink, you can call it that, 24 ports or 48 Downlink and a different composition of uplinks. Stacking is planned in the L3200 and L3100 series, additional functionality, development of functionality and gradual rolling out of this functionality. The L3100 series will already support power up to 90 watts per port, plus modular uplinks, i.e. there will be an assortment of uplinks.

The data center series, as I said, D4000 are understandable simple data centers 10/25.

A little more interesting. Anyone who has been to our exhibitions recently knows that we present the product at the stand, remove all the casings, show everything, and tell about everything. Actually, here is a photo of the switch from the inside, where you can see how everything is arranged in it.

A distinctive feature in this situation is a slightly different cooling system. This is a full-fledged development, because our team has extensive experience in developing devices for the oil industry, and there are increased requirements for reliability and fault tolerance. And therefore, the guys profess exactly such approaches to the implementation of equipment and do everything conscientiously, including the cooling system, which is made in the form of a heat pipe with a radiator, which is brought closer to the cooling fans. As you know, increasing the ambient temperature by 10 degrees reduces the service life of silicon by half, so due to this cooling system, we have an increased operating temperature range, that is, we can work even at an ambient temperature of +70. It seems at first glance, how can there be +70 in the server room? And remember what happens when the air conditioner stops in the server room.

The "diamond" inside our equipment is a hardware chip that ensures the security of the hardware platform. We call it the BRMC module. The module is used to control the internal buses for monitoring the components of the switch. These are low-speed ITC buses that synchronize and transmit data between systems. This is a power bus, a primary bootloader control bus. It seems like some kind of fantasy, but no.

We now live in a world where many attacks are committed every day. In April, we were at an event organized by telecom operators, and each operator complained that they were being attacked, and they were being attacked not just like that, the equipment was being disabled by various methods. And they told cases of how it all happens. And when one of the cases that was highlighted was told, it was infected SFPs. This is the easiest way to put down the internal bus. SFP with ordinary malware. Many, as you know, already have smart SFPs with built-in processors on these SFPs, where there is practically a built-in server. Therefore, you can implement different threats and hacking methods. And our module serves to block such activities aimed at working with internal buses, transmitting data over these internal buses. That is, no matter what the user plugs into the switch, this malware will not be able to reach these internal buses, thanks to our module. It will control everything and will not allow the code to be executed. Let me give you a simple example. The buses were overloaded - it just didn't work, they gave some command. Our power supplies are smart, they gave the power supply a command to stop the fan, it heated up, a fire broke out, as a result of which the rack burned out. So it's very easy to do. We don't have such scenarios. Our equipment will survive such attacks in any case.

Network adapters. Network adapters in the form of three form factors.

The upper, Liner, is already in release. The lower form factor of the standard OCP 3.0 is also implemented, also at the stage of preparing documentation. And in the project we have a standard PCI-E 4.0 for use in standard servers. As I said, the first usecase is for server manufacturers. But, if the customer for some reason needs a Russian card, a registered one, we will gladly provide it.

About guarantees.

Warranty conditions are relatively standard: 12 months for all equipment, the equipment replacement period is 30 days, but we undertake that we will not delay for more than 20 days, we will try to send the equipment as quickly as possible, even under warranty. We have an option to delay the start of the warranty. Usually the process is like this: they bought the equipment, put it in the warehouse, and it goes into implementation, into implementation, in a month or two, or even in six months. Therefore, we provide a delay in the start of the warranty for 30 calendar days. The warranty does not imply consultation on implementation, on technologies. This is still when something is wrong with the equipment. Therefore, if you need service support, consulting support, then this is a service from the USSR. This is paid. Regarding modules. Our modules are covered by the warranty from the S2158 switch itself. There are no licenses to use other people's modules, but, again, the question of compatibility. They lie on the shoulders of partners and customers. There are a great many modules on the market, it is impossible to test everything. We have a certain set of tests that we conducted last year, when this equipment was tested in the fields. Therefore, you can ask us something, call us or write to us. We will always share, suggest, but still we do not give a final guarantee.
